Hi, I'm Miriam!
I'm a passionate language teacher with lots of experience teaching Italian, English, and Spanish.
I love helping people feel confident and excited about learning languages, and I always try to create a fun and supportive environment for my students.
I'm always excited to take on new challenges and have a real passion for learning languages myself. I’ve also achieved the Cambridge C2 in English, and I’m always looking for new ways to grow, both as a learner and as a teacher.
Being multilingual helps me really understand the little nuances of each language and the cultures behind them. I try to bring all of that into my lessons to make them as rich and engaging as possibleMinha atuação como professor
Who am I, and what makes me different from other teachers?
I've taught Italian, English, and Spanish at the high school level, and I absolutely love helping students connect with languages in meaningful ways. I have a degree in Modern Languages, plus two Master’s degrees—one in Hispanic Studies and another in Comparative Languages and Literatures.
I also hold a Cambridge C2 Proficiency in English and have led English courses for other teachers, which has given me a great perspective on different teaching styles and strategies. I'm very familiar with exams like the DELE and Cambridge, so I can help students feel confident and well-prepared.Minhas aulas e estilo de ensino
In my teaching style, YOU take center stage. This class is all about YOU—your goals, your pace, your interests. We’ll work together to come up with a game plan that covers everything from what you want to achieve, to how you like to learn, to how much homework feels right for you.
I like to keep things well-organized and thoughtful, but not rigid. I’ve got tons of material—books, online stuff, PDFs—and every lesson is put together with a clear focus to make sure it fits you. Miriam is a very calm and patient teacher. She easily adapts to individual skill levels and can tailor the topics to the student's requests. Although I’ve only had a few lessons with her, I already feel more confident speaking Italian!

Great introductory lesson with Miriam. I have a good idea how lesions will progress. Enjoyable session, where she took time to understand my interests, my motivations, experience with the language and country so far and how we can use these to tailor the learning content in the future.
