Greetings! I am Teacher Summer, an experienced educator with a passion for making language learning engaging and effective. As an American expatriate currently residing on Costa Rica's Caribbean coast, I bring a unique multicultural perspective to teaching, enriched by 15 years of living in France and extensive global travels. My professional approach is informed by my personal journey as a bilingual parent raising two active young boys, allowing me to connect authentically with learners of all ages. Beyond the classroom, I maintain a diverse set of professional interests including voice acting for audiobook production, creative writing, and theatrical arts. I have been teaching English as a second language for more than nine years. I have done private tutoring to French students and adults. The last four years I have been teaching exclusively children online. I have taught hundreds of students over 6000 lessons online!Minhas aulas e estilo de ensino
It is my job:
To make children feel comfortable and ready for class - a comfortable child is ready to talk!
To build a safe place where mistakes can be made (that is how we learn!)
To find what interests a child and keeps them engaged.
To encourage independent thought and creative speech.
To provide the tools my students need to understand and flourish.

We are very happy with the teacher Summer for our dotter. The lessons are fun and educational, which makes the children learn quickly while enjoying themselves. We are truly grateful for the excellent work of Teacher Summer. She creates a wonderful, encouraging atmosphere during lessons, which makes learning both effective and enjoyable. Her preparation for each class is outstanding, and she provides strong methodological support that helps the girls feel confident and motivated.
Our daughters are absolutely delighted with their English lessons and look forward to every session with her. Thanks to the quality of her teaching, we have even decided to stop attending additional in-person courses — her classes meet all our expectations and more.

Michelle has been learning with Teacher Summer for almost three years! The teacher is very patient, and my child absolutely loves it! Now, whenever it's time, my child will grab the iPad and find the teacher to learn on their own! They will continue to learn with the teacher for the foreseeable future!
