This is my fifth lesson with Gersende, who helped me prepare for an upcoming trip to France by prepping common travel situations. She answered my many many questions patiently and gave me lots culture and travel tips. Gersende is patient, professional, and a great conversationalist. She made me feel very comfortable speaking from lesson one, and she types down words that I've mistaken or am confused about so I could keep them in my notes. She shares lots of great learning materials too, such as podcasts and learning websites. I cannot recommend her enough! Merci beaucoup Gersende! I hope to learn with you again after my trip!

Gersende asks great questions that push me into new territory and I find myself saying things in French that I didn't think I could! I enjoy the conversations but I also go away with a list of useful grammar and vocabulary that I can work on between lessons.

Gersende is my favorite Italki professor. I've been using Italki for years and I've tried over 15-20 different teachers. Gersende is a true expert at correcting and noting mistakes. She is a great conversationalist, very professional, and always on time. She is so good that I am nervous in writing this post, because I'm afraid too many people will start taking lessons with Gersende and I won't be able to find time slots with her!

She always takes the time to correct my pronunciation carefully, gives me lots of practical ideas and useful questions, and is incredibly patient throughout every lesson. Her classes are also very well organized and efficient—we usually manage to cover 7 or 8 topics in a single session. Gersende is by far my favorite French teacher on italki.
