Hello! My name is Esja. I was born in raised in the US. I graduated from Cornell university with a dual major of Asian Studies and Middle Eastern Studies. My interests include language study, travel, and art. I live and teach English in Kyushu, Japan. In addition to English, I can also speak Japanese at the advanced level, and Persian at the intermediate level.Minha atuação como professor
英語を教えるのは大好きです！日本に来てから3年の間に千葉県でALTとして働いたこともあるし、幼稚園教諭もしたことあるし、現在熊本県で子供にも社会人にも英語を教えております。教師としての目標は様々な生徒の勉強に対して役に立ちたいです！
I love teaching! I have been teaching for 3 years since moving to Japan. I have taught as an ALT, as a kindergarten teacher, and as a dispatch teacher to a variety of age groups. I especially love working with young children, but I happily enjoy working with older people too! I am very interested in language learning both personally and as a teacher, and I want to help many people on their journey to learn English!Minhas aulas e estilo de ensino
For adult lessons, my basic approach to split the lesson between half conversation, and half textbook work and drills. For the conversation portion, the student can choose their own topic, or I can offer some topics to choose from. During the lesson, I will provide feedback and record new words and grammar. For the textbook work and drills, I tailor the types of materials used and the difficulty of the materials based on the skills of the student.
For kids lessons, the approach depends on the age of the student. For very small kids, I use a combination of story time, songs, games, and chants. For older students, I use textbooks designed for young ESL learners.Meu material de ensino
