Speak Natural Mandarin Through Stories & Real-Life Conversation (Intermediate) I help intermediate learners speak Chinese more naturally and confidently. My lessons are relaxed, story-based, and focused on real-life Mandarin, not textbooks. If you understand Chinese but feel shy or slow when speaking, this class is for you. I’m also the host of the Cozy Mandarin podcast, where I share real-life Chinese content for intermediate learners. What sets my teaching apart is a calm, low-pressure environment where speaking feels safe and natural. I believe language learning works best when it’s enjoyable, meaningful, and connected to real life. In our lessons, we may use short stories, pictures, comics, lyrics, or video clips - always based on your interests. The goal is not to “perform perfectly,” but to practice expressing real ideas in real Mandarin. As a language learner myself, I understand the ups and downs of the process. You don’t need to overthink or prepare heavily. We focus on steady, natural progress through relaxed and consistent practice! My lessons focus on helping you understand and speak natural Mandarin through relaxed, meaningful conversation. In class, we communicate mostly in Chinese, at a level that feels understandable while still helping you grow. You’ll hear key words and expressions repeated in different contexts and slightly different forms, which helps them become familiar and comfortable to use.
