I'm cross culturally marinated, warm and sociable and love to get to know all kinds of people from different backgrounds. I'm interested in pretty much anything that has something to do with people. I like to learn about world religions, understand social and cultural components and learn more about history and arts. I enjoy writing songs, making my own hot drinks and organizing dinner parties.
I have a degree on Early Childhood Education, as well as on Finnish sign language and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) support. Currently I am studying MBA in Educational Leadership. I have some experience on teaching Finnish and English. I have taught both children and adults.Minha atuação como professor
Most important to me as a teacher is that you try and feel empowered through the learning process. Mistakes are part of the learning journey. I love to challenge my students to take steps beyond what they believe they are capable of. However I don't push you beyond your limits, but I will always help you when I see you are stuck. I also acknowledge our different personalities and will learn the approach you prefer me to have in supporting you, whether it's to give more space or to be more intently present. Please note that my current lessons differ slightly from what is shown in the video and focus mainly on conversational Finnish and reflective dialogue. At the moment, I do not provide traditional grammar-based teaching, but I explain language points when something feels unclear or confusing.
Lessons are usually built around meaningful topics related to everyday life, work, learning, and goals. If you have a specific theme, situation, or skill you would like to focus on, lessons can also be adapted to support that.
I guide the conversation with supportive questions, help you find natural expressions, and offer gentle corrections and reformulations.5.0
