I have been with Marina Sensei for a year+, and she is a very awesome teacher to have. She is very good at adapting to a busy lifestyle to ensure you are on the right track to be motivated in language learning. Because there are periods when you may not have time to do the studying you would like to do, because life gets in the way. Whether you want to do speaking/listening/writing/grammar. Whatever goals you have she is always supportive and can prepare the perfect lesson plan for you. I definitely do recommend her, if you haven't tried a pro like her before!

Marina sensei was very adaptive and informative during our trial lesson! Having contacted her beforehand about my current skill level and concerns, she used a mix of both English and Japanese plus short assessment tests to gauge how much I was capable of understanding. She then managed to determine a very close approximation of my existing knowledge of the language and was able to pinpoint where in Genki we should start off! First lesson after a couple months' break. Marina asked how I wanted to structure today's call (i.e. some free talk, some grammar, etc.), I choose to go for all free-talk today, and came with some topics I wanted to practice with. Marina did a great job of helping move things along throughout the call, correcting my grammar, and teaching me lots of new words and phrases. I also learned some new aspects of Japanese culture, which was super fun and interesting!
