Halló! I'm a passionate educator with a rich academic background, holding Bachelor's degrees in both Law and Philosophy from the University of Iceland. My fascination with Chinese culture -- and the Chinese language -- led me to pursue an MA in Chinese Philosophy at Fudan University, one of the most prestigious institutions in China. Currently, I am further deepening my expertise by working towards a PhD in Chinese Philosophy at Fudan University. On the side, I teach both Icelandic and English.Minha atuação como professor

My teaching philosophy is centered around communication. I believe in the power of oral proficiency as a foundation for language learning, and thus, my lessons are predominantly focused on helping you become confident and fluent in speaking Icelandic. Another fantastic lesson, thank you. Lessons so far have been consistently good, Baldur is attentive and gives really useful feedback. Good at explaining things and also giving good notes in the chat. I have a long way to go but I really feel like I am improving after every lesson. Recommend.

So much fun! I loved Baldur's attitude (appeared enthusiastic to be talking with me and invested in the language). He is clearly extremely knowledgeable and I felt very comfortable to make attempts at the language and to make mistakes. I also really appreciated how he corrected my mistakes (non-intrusive, so that the conversation could flow, yet I was still learning so that I would not continue to make the same mistake). I have booked several sessions with Baldur in the future; I can't wait!
