Hi! I’m Michael Robson, a Canadian English teacher from Vancouver. I’ve taught adult learners from around the world, and I’m thrilled to meet you here on iTalki.
I specialize in conversation, pronunciation and fluency. Thank you to all my students for being kind, respectful, and open to different cultures. You’re the reason I love this work. 🙏
In the past I’ve worked in teaching academies with 5-15 students each class (students ranged from every part of the world). I look forward to working with you on your conversation skills to help you in your future endeavours! I have a range of fun topics that should last us for weeks. Once our conversation topics are done, we can jump into some fun topics in an advanced Listening and Speaking textbook :) .
I am happy to help you with Conversational English, IELTS/CELPIP, and interviews in some industries. I won’t dominate the class with my own voice, and I will encourage you to use as much English as possible!

I believe the most positive aspect of having classes with Michael is that he really helps boost your confidence, which was exactly what I needed when speaking English. He also gave me very useful advice on how to improve my speaking skills in a more natural and effective way. Since my main purpose was to prepare for practical interviews, his guidance was extremely helpful.
