Golnaz Shamdani

I’ve been learning Persian for a while but never actually taken lessons so I’m missing a lot of basics. Golnaz did a wonderful job answering all my questions, using many examples. She asked questions to make sure she understood what I wanted to learn and asked me to make my own sentences to make sure I know how to use the words correctly. She was very warm and friendly and made me feel comfortable, not afraid of making mistakes. I can highly recommend to book a class with Golnaz!

I'm really enjoying my lessons with Golnaz. I really appreciate her teaching style and patience. At my level, I prefer the majority of the lesson to be in Farsi. She is patient and lets me express myself in Farsi. She explains things clearly in Farsi and only uses English when absolutely necessary. But her English is excellent too, so if you are an English speaker and just starting to learn Farsi, her English knowledge will be very beneficial for you. We have really interesting discussions each week. She also leaves homework, which helps keep me motivated during the week. I highly recommend her

Golnaz is a great Persian teacher who makes learning the language very easy and fun. After only a couple of lessons, I can already say that my Persian improved a lot. Golnaz strikes a nice balance between free-flowing conversation about any topic and correcting you where necessary — in addition to always offering helpful vocabulary and grammar points. Already looking forward to our next lesson!
