Hi, I'm Marcello, a Native English speaker from Canada. I moved to Italy to study Italian, and now live in Milan. I studied Health Sciences at the University of Western Ontario, and worked in various trades - I'm an electrician with 10 years experience. One thing I have always had a passion for, however, is teaching.
Ciao a tutti! Sono Marcello, e sono madrelingua canadese. Mi sono trasferito in italia per studiare la lingua perché ho origini italiane e una passione per la lingua e il bel paese. I'm patient, friendly, clear & detailed in my explanations, & passionate about helping others learn. I take my time to ensure you understand. I adapt my strategy to varying learning styles, prioritizing each student's needs. I use all my own materials & offer feedback & corrections. In class, it's okay to make mistakes, they help you learn!

All lessons are tailored to meet the needs of each student. I discuss students' goals & we decide their plan together. My lessons have a balance of grammar, vocabulary, & conversation. I use my own materials, & materials from other sources as a complement. I create a welcoming, relaxed, stress-free atmosphere & help students build confidence.

I also focused on examination topics to prepare students for their English exam.

Ho fatto circa 30 lezioni con Marcello, dalla prima lezione ho capito di aver fatto la scelta giusta. Puntuale, paziente, preciso, simpatico, coinvolgente, disponibile, molto molto preparato e competente. La combinazione di grammatica, conversazione e ascolto mi ha permesso di migliorare tutte le aree della lingua innalzando il mio livello, la mia sicurezza e fiducia che mi hanno permesso di superare brillantemente l'esame universitario che mi ha portato a contattarlo.
Inoltre, parla un perfetto italiano, il chè è in certe situazioni si è rilevato molto utile.
Inutile dire che continuerò a fare lezioni con lui per innalzare il più possibile il mio livello.
Lo consiglio vivamente a chiunque desideri imparare o migliorare il proprio inglese con un insegnante assolutamente eccezionale.

I just want to recommend Marcello as a tutor. He is really patient and cool. I never thought I can use English to learn electricity stuff( working demand and personal interest), and it turns out being so insightful and fun while learning with Marcello:) It feels so great to make theory become more and more clear every class. He is really good at giving examples. Thank you so much!

I really enjoyed my first lesson with Marcello. He explained to me that some of the Italian I had learned on Duolingo isn't how they usually speak in Italy which is very helpful! It also helped me that he is fluent in English as he can explain certain nuances of Italian to me so that I clearly understand. We had a few good laughs; I am really looking forward to many more lessons!
