Mel Vandersteen

I’m learning to speak Hebrew after years of studying grammar/reading/writing. I’m having a lot of fun and learning practical vocabulary and sentence structure. Hebrew can be very challenging to string together, and we always find a way to have a good laugh:)

She is very kind, patient and understanding. When there is a new word, she provides examples of it in a sentence that help me grasp the concept of the word a lot more easily, direct translations into English from Hebrew are hard as they are so different, however she works around that well and helps me understand the meaning. I just booked another lesson with her 🙃

At the beginning of my lesson she asked about my goals. I told her I wanted to improve my level of fluency and self-confidence when speaking, and she immediately understood that she needed to ask me a lot of questions about myself and give me space to speak as much as possible. She is accepting of mistakes, and genuinely has a desire to help her students succeed. Overall, looking forward to many more great lessons with her :)
