Khru Sai

Great lesson with Khru Sai! We read and edited the sentences that I wrote. Khru Sai explained how the sentence structure in Thai is different with respect to the subject of the sentence, and how sometimes the object comes between two parts of the verb. That will help my writing and understanding. We also looked at a menu written in a modern Thai font, and we had fun as I guessed which letter was which. Khru Sai prepares interesting and useful material for each lesson!

Fun Fun Fun

Great lesson with Khru Sai! We started by reading the sentences that I wrote. Khru Sai helped me fix the sentences to reflect past tense, and suggested a few words to make the sentences more casual. Khru Sai also prepared some examples of Thai "modern style" fonts, which are used very often in Thailand. Khru Sai helped me to understand the modern fonts, because they look very different. She always has a fun lesson for me. Learning about the modern fonts was interesting!

My writing has come a long way thanks to Khru Sai's help and recommendations! After that, we looked at an advertisement which Khru Sai chose to demonstrate different fonts in Thai writing. Although the letters looked very different, I was able to figure out what they were. It was fun to read real-world examples, which was a good lesson idea from Khru Sai!
