My name is Filip and Swedish is my native language. I am interested in linguistics, history, literature, sports and arts. Having studied Russian at university, and currently learning Hungarian by myself (aiming to begin learning German and Polish), I understand how frustrating and at the same time rewarding language learning can be. I have been teaching Swedish for more than two years and I would describe myself as a fun, engaging and supportive tutor. Having studied languages at university, I have a good understanding of what is important if you want to become confident in a language. I do believe that the approach to language learning is that it should be as fun, motivating and as supportive as possible. My teaching style is quite diverse and is not only dependent on your fluency level or general grasp of the language, but also your goals, interests and preferences. Be it, communicative language teaching with a focus on grammar and vocabulary, or a direct method with a focus on around conversation. Filip was fantastic during my first lesson with him. I did some Swedish reading practice and he was very encouraging and helpful. The resources that he provided for me to help me are excellent. It was also good to speak on a personal level about sports! Thanks very much Filip and I'm looking forward to the next lesson with you. I highly recommend Filip!
