Assala Hamidani

The instructor was well-prepared and punctual, which I appreciated. She began with a review of 10 sentences that reinforced a grammatical concept from our previous session. This was a helpful way to revisit and solidify earlier material. The rest of the lesson focused on conversation practice. She asked open-ended questions and noted any grammatical errors I made. Afterward, we reviewed them together. Rather than simply providing the correct form, she presented my original sentence and asked me to correct it myself. This method pushed me to think through the grammar and was very effective.

I had an excellent class with Assala. She introduced a helpful rule: when two verbs follow each other in French, the first is conjugated and the second stays in the infinitive. Our class was only a half an hour, but I found it excellent how she structured the entire lesson around a single grammatical concept, reinforcing it with examples. Assala's strength is that she always actively leads the lesson.
