I would highly recommend Silke. She takes you through all the information step by step and is very methodical about it and great at explaining things when they are difficult. She also corrects every mistake or mispronunciation and gives you ways to improve which is great for learning.

Outstanding professional. Silke let's nothing slip. If it's not 100%, she will let you know but in the nicest way possible. No room to form bad habits.

After the trial lesson I can tell that Silke is exactly the person I am looking for to support me in my journey with improving my German skills. She is full of energy and I really like the proposed course plan! I am looking forward to our next meeting :-)

Silke is extremely thorough in her teaching: she stops you at every single tiny mistake, be it oral or written, and I believe this approach is very beneficial to prevent you from carrying bad pronunciation/grammar/etc. habits along with your improvements. She also uses German as language of instruction as early as possible, pushing you out of your comfort zone and encouraging you to speak in German since the very first class. The books she adopts is also well structured and effective for a 1-on-1 lesson (besides of course a few exercises clearly intended for a group class), and it is a good reference for grammar and vocabulary.

Thank you for another fantastic lesson. After a busy week and long day at work I thought I don’t have any power left but then an hour with Silke gave me the kick of energy I needed to find joy in learning german 😀

I just had my first class and am looking forward to more! Silke spoke at a level I could understand and clarified anything I asked her to. I just ordered the text book she recommended so I can be ready to jump in for our next lesson :)
