Airi was very patient in helping me through our conversation despite my having never spoken with anyone in Japanese before. She helped me to understand where I made mistakes and also provided me with the Kanji for her sentences when I needed help understanding, tailoring the lesson to my stronger reading skills when my listening skills failed. She also was able to communicate the meaning of words and sentences in excellent English when I was unable to understand the written words, helping me to understand better what she was saying and also helping to verify the meaning of my own sentences.

Airi San is a wonderful teacher who uses a conversational approach. She is kind yet firm, and is more than willing to push her students to use as much Japanese as they can! Highly recommend her.
