So far, I’ve had three classes with Dongni, and I've really enjoyed my time learning with her! From our first meeting, she took the time to understand what my Chinese goals were, and proceeded to walk me through different learning methods to see what style best suited my needs. Despite my Chinese being very rusty, she has been very patient and helpful. Dongni has a balanced approach between giving me space to work through a problem on my own and stepping in to explain something more thoroughly when I'm stuck. I also like the materials she uses in class such as the HSK textbook and mandarinbean.com - I have been studying Chinese for some time, but I’ve never been exposed to mandarinbean.com, it’s so useful. You can turn on and off the pinyin and hover over a word to see the English translation if need be - it's such a great resource!
