You don't know me yet, but my name is Flor -- and I'm your new Spanish fairy godmother! I am a native speaker with a clear and neutral accent (Peru). I specialize in helping people get past a language learning plateau to reach conversational fluency! I discovered a passion for helping others to learn Spanish when my daughter-in-law, an American, came into our family a few years ago. She asked me to help her learn, and I was happy to provide resources and plenty of speaking practice for her! Later, I had the opportunity to volunteer at a language school in Colorado, where I often participated as a Spanish conversation partner and Peruvian culture advocate.Minha atuação como professor

My qualifications include extensive grammar and literature classes at San Martin de Porres University here in Lima that were taken as I pursued a Journalism degree. I have owned a business, and worked in the financial sector. I have taught over 7,000 lessons in italki as a teacher. I’m ready to help you with a structured and professional lesson plan. I had another wonderful lesson with Flor! She is truly an incredible teacher. She can structure lessons to fit my needs and help me practice various constructions and tenses. It is always a pleasure to be working with Flor. Anybody who hasn't tried out working with her is missing out on a great opportunity to learn Spanish. She knows a lot about the language, speaks very clearly and can teach any level. I've been taking classes with her for a long time now and my Spanish has improved a lot. She is a great teacher!

I’m almost at the end of Flor’s complete Spanish grammar course and it’s been the single thing that has helped me the most with my Spanish. I could understand a lot before but I wasn’t speaking properly at all. After going through chapter by chapter with Flor, I even received complements on my grammar when I was in Colombia! Flor is friendly and well-prepared, and always added extra material for the tricky topics. I’ve gained a lot of confidence speaking Spanish since working with her. I recommend her highly!
