Misako is very patient and supportive of your language learning, I have learned more with my short time under her tutelage than other teachers I have had. Her camera and microphone quality is good, there are no connection issues, she has always been on time and prepared material for the next lesson. She answers questions I have and helps me to learn how to discuss my interests in Japanese preparing me for conversing with others. She has also made several lessons fun and engaging one of which used a topic I was interested in as a means of learning the vocabulary I was studying. As a beginner I heavily recommend Misako sensei if you are just starting out like me, but I have confidence she will be good for all levels.

I've had two conversational lessons with Misako san and they have been great experiences so far! Misako san is patient, easygoing, and fun to talk to. I like that she presents alternative ways of phrasing or wording things to sound more natural in conversations. I look forward to booking some more lessons in the near future!!

I've been taking weekly lessons with Misako-sensei and she is honestly one of the best teachers I have met on iTalki! Her strength is in teaching you tons of natural/useful phrases and correcting mistakes (which some teachers may be less comfortable doing since they feel it's impolite). For some reason, her explanations and speaking pace just make things so easy to understand and remember. She also sends the most detailed lesson notes of any teacher I've had, which are super useful for reviewing/recall. If you are serious about accelerating your time to fluency, I recommend learning from Misako-sensei!

These conversation lessons are the best Japanese lessons I’ve ever had. Misako sensei explains concepts very well, with easy to understand examples so you can see how the new words or new grammar is used. She is patient, kind, and helpful when I’m struggling to express what I want to say. Which makes the student want to try harder. Her PDF transcripts after each lesson are great for me to review what we discussed and keeps the new concepts organized. I highly recommend her lessons to anyone who wants to learn or improve their Japanese.

This has been my 5th lesson with Misako sensei and I am already seeing improvement in my listening and speaking ability. I have also learned a lot of new useful vocabulary thanks to her questions and corrections. In the conversation lessons we cover topics about family, work, food, music, anything we want to discuss. She helps express these concepts in the most natural way and with the correct nuance and grammar. She also makes comments or asks questions in Japanese to improve your listening skill and improve your ability to respond in Japanese. She makes the lessons really enjoyable and the conversation is always interesting. I really recommend her classes to anyone who wants to improve their Japanese speaking and listening ability.
