His English was good. He was able to communicate and explain the pronunciation in Korean and English.

It was a pleasure meeting 도연님. From his first message, he gave such a friendly, kindhearted vibe, answering my questions and getting to know me as a learner. He even helped explain some slang that I had found online, which was loads of fun. During the trial class we did self introductions and talked about our shared hobbies. Throughout the conversation, he made the topics relevant to my interests and used them as a way to introduce expressions that I've never heard before. I especially liked that he explained the concepts in Korean instead of English, which really helped model how to explain things without reverting to English. Definitely take a class with him!

A super friendly and fun teacher. He's willing to talk about a range of topics, both serious and light-hearted. The heavier topics are always more challenging to talk about, but he gives me plenty of space to figure out what I want to say and helps me put my thoughts into words that sound natural, suggesting relevant expressions I might not know. Highly recommend :)

I have only had 4 lessons so far with 도연형, and they've all been great! He's excellent at walking through what each word means and different ways to use them naturally in sentences, as well as encouraging constant usage of certain grammar practices to make it become second nature. He's funny, forgiving, and working with him keeps me motivated to learn even when I struggle to get a grasp on something. Give Doyeon-Hyung's lessons a try, and you will always learn something new. 새로운 학생들이 화이팅!
