Hi! I'm Maryann, from Brittany, France, and I currently live in Normandy. I studied English, German, and Journalism at university. I worked for two years in a local newspaper, and during that time, I also obtained a DU (Diplôme d'université) in FLE (French as a Foreign Language). This September, I started a Master’s degree in Teaching French as a Foreign Language to develop my knowledge and skills in order to become a professional French teacher.
I’m passionate about languages and literature (I enjoy reading different genres), and I love travelling and learning about different cultures. I also enjoy helping people discover the French language and culture.Minha atuação como professor
As a teacher, I’m patient, friendly and adaptable. My own experience as a learner helps me be understanding and aware of the difficulties you may face. I always create a safe and encouraging atmosphere. My goal is to help you feel comfortable and confident speaking French. Learning a new language should be fun and making mistakes is a natural part of the process!

My lessons are adapted to your level and your objectives. I pay close attention to what you need, what you enjoy, and what you want to improve.
I focus on helping you communicate naturally and confidently, especially through speaking practice and real-life situations. Grammar is important, but not the centre of the lesson : I introduce it when it helps you speak and understand better.
I mostly work with authentic materials such as news articles, podcasts, short videos or extracts from books, but also adapted resources when they’re more suitable. Learning about French culture and traditions is also an important part of my method.Meu material de ensino

French teacherI have taught French in person through Superprof, with the possibility of online lessons. I help students with grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversation, always adapting my approach to their level and personal goals. For example, I gave French lessons to an adult living in France who wanted to improve her communication skills to feel more confident at work.

Mestrado - JournalismThis Master's degree provided me with advanced knowledge in reporting, writing, and media production, and helped me develop strong analytical and communication skills.

Mestrado - French as a Foreign LanguageThis master's degree covers both the theory and practice of teaching French. I learn how to create lesson plans, teach vocabulary and grammar, practise speaking and writing, and adapt my lessons to the learners’ profiles and native languages. The program also includes courses on art, digital tools, and phonetics, providing a well-rounded approach to teaching.
