Here to help you really learn English | Yma i'ch helpu chi i ddysgu Cymraeg Hi! I'm Einir, from the UK. I’ve been teaching English for over 20 years and recently decided to start teaching my other native language -Welsh - using the skills I’ve learnt through my ESL career to help people learn one of Europe’s oldest languages! I’ve helped hundreds of people from all walks of life to become confident English speakers - housewives who want to help their children with homework, top managers who need English for international business, school pupils who dream of studying at a prestigious Western university, family-oriented people who want to start a new, better life abroad, recent graduates who want to be more competitive on the job market, adventure seekers who want to be able to make new friends while travelling - people just like you, who were brave enough to take the first steps towards reaching their goals by committing to their studies! I was an oral examiner for Cambridge exams for 15 years so I am in a rare position to help students prepare for international exams with my inside knowledge of the system. I also teach general English to students of all levels. My lessons are always prepared with the student's specific needs in mind, but a typical general English/Welsh lesson is based on introducing a grammar or lexical point and using it in conversation. I'm a strong believer in the communicative approach to language learning and expect my students to speak as much as possible in class.

This was only an introductory taster so it wasn't a full lesson. However, I found Einir to be a very welcoming teacher who put me at ease with my unfamiliarity with the language and I'm looking forward to continuing.

Great first Welsh lesson with Einir! I just had my very first Welsh lesson with Einir, and it exceeded my expectations. She had everything perfectly planned out from the start. The lesson was structured with clear dialogues prepared in advance that made it easy to follow and practice right away. Very engaging and we jumped straight into reading and speaking Welsh in the very first class. Einir has a great teaching style—patient, encouraging, and energetic—which made the time fly by.
