The happiness and joy of the student + their progress with the target language = my biggest prize. In this way, my students are the ones who motivate me to work better and to prepare interesting lessons for them. I try to combine reading, writing, conversation, grammar, and listening by using different resources.

In 2016, I decided to start teaching the language, now I have more than 8000 lessons given on Italki. I have more than 7 years of experience on this website and one of the best things I love about teaching a new language, it's to learn so much about other cultures. It's a pleasure for me to help you learn a new language or practice with what you've already learned about the language. I believe understanding a new language and culture can be life-changing, in an exciting and meaningful way, but I'm here to make you feel confident and happy during that process. If you wonder how I organize the lessons, please read below
1. Beginners
- You'll learn basic alphabets and how to write and pronounce them clearly, basic verbs (conjugations) and nouns, and how to make basic sentences from them
2. Intermediate
- I'll help you with building up new vocabulary and expressions, practicing the tenses with dynamic activities
- In the meantime, you'll learn about different tones and connotations
3. Advanced
- You can choose a topic, and we can discuss it together, or we can just have random conversations.

I had a wonderful lesson with Astrid. She challenged me to speak in Spanish from the start, and I was surprised by how much I could actually understand when she spoke. All in all, I enjoyed every minute of my trial lesson with Astrid. She creates a warm, calm, and comfortable environment for learning. She is an excellent teacher with lots of experience, and you can tell right away why she has given over 5,000 lessons here on italki. She is a master at what she does and she is sincere and genuine in her approach to helping people learn. You will not regret taking a lesson with her. I really appreciate how tailored Astrid's lessons are--she works hard to provide activities that really hone in on specific aspects of Spanish that I'm struggling with, and this is really helpful. Plus, the activities she suggests are always interesting and make for good conversation!

One of Astrid’s greatest abilities as a teacher is her talent at sparking conversations through interesting topics and questions. Which allows me to immerse myself in the conversation and before I know it I’m speaking Spanish without even thinking about it in a way that feels natural. Always 5 star classes :D

I’ve had several lessons with Astrid and have been very happy with her. She has exercises prepared for us to discuss, is good at explaining things and suggests what I need to work on.
For the areas I need work, she gives me websites to look at so I can understand better.
