Hello. My name is David Phillips BSc, MSc, PGCE, CELTA, FHEA.
I'm a mature, highly experienced teacher, an expert in presentation, an award winning journalist and musician.
I've lived and worked in the UK, Spain, Bulgaria, South Korea and Rwanda, also travelling to the US, Australia, India, China and the Himalayas.
Highlights of my life were playing concerts in Manhattan and Leicester Square, London as well as a 10,000 km road trip across the United States and a 5000 km trip across Europe, including the Alps.

Having been in the profession since 1999, I have had the chance to teach many different subjects to many different people and at many different levels.
Before becoming an English teacher, I was a science teacher in secondary schools in Rwanda and England. Then I moved on to English teaching as my love of travel and languages took me away from the laboratory.
During that time, I've learned many different teaching styles, not just from books and training courses, but from the students themselves.
In 2018, I started to teach online and I've been improving my online teaching technique ever since.Minhas aulas e estilo de ensino
The most important quality that I have as a teacher is that I listen to you, the student.
This ensures that I can react to your needs instantly should you need help, guidance or further explanation. In this way I learn from you while you are learning from me.
As a result, our lessons become more and more refined and suited to your needs.

David is so professional and well-prepared in all aspects for helping students be more easily able to connect with the language they're struggling with. I always appreciate the way in which he makes conversations productive and engaging. He covers from thought-provoking questions to small things in everyday experience while having me even sometimes forget about the fact that I'm talking to him in English, which is very comfortable and productive at the same time.
