I love reading and enjoy discussing classic literature and non-fiction works. I enjoy listening to music, especially jazz and pop music from the 1960s. My husband and I also enjoy ballroom dancing. I also enjoy writing and researching various topics online and keeping in touch with friends through Facebook.
Teaching ESL is a second career for me. I worked and insurance company manager and research analyst for 26 years before returning to school for a Master's degree in Education in 2010. I also completed my TEFL certification in 2023. I had one son who passed away in 2014 after a long illness and I live in North Carolina with my husband.

I have always enjoyed helping others to learn and to meet their academic goals. When I was about 10 years old, my teacher asked me to help some of the other students who were struggling with their reading. I would sit with them one-on-one or sometimes she would have me read the assignment into a tape recorder so the students could follow along with my voice as they read the assignment. Figuring out ways to help others understand new concepts brings me a lot of joy.Minhas aulas e estilo de ensino
I believe in tailoring lessons to the students' specific needs and learning styles. I work with students to develop customized lesson plans to help them meet their individual goals. I am very patient and adaptable and use a wide variety of tools and materials based on each student's individual needs. I also believe that learning should be fun!Meu material de ensino
