Hi there! My name is Elliott, I work in linguistics and foreign languages. I've worked and traveled in 73+ countries and have studied more than 15 languages. These days, I’m fluent in about 5 of them and always learning more. I have experience on iTalki for more than 6 years.

My sessions are chilllllll 😂 I think language learning comes the easiest through casual, laid-back conversation and vibes. We're all used to high-school language class that ruined the joy of language learning and made it an exercise. I find vocabulary is always more important than grammar, so our focus will be on learning as many words as possible. Mistakes are normal, the goal is to express yourself and share ideas :)

Really loving these lessons with Elliott, he's super easy to talk to and very good at throwing in a tiny correction when needed without interrupting the flow, or defining an unusual word real quick right when he says it. So he's very focused on what happening. I've had some other teachers who are not this way at all, who are much less invested in every little word, and I felt like I was learning less in those cases.

I certainly recommend Elliott to everyone! He is the teacher I was looking for! I am glad that young people are so conscious and advanced! I believe he can surpass the senior teachers! Elliott speaks good Russian, it helps me to be calm. The lessons are friendly, fun, I like that for him, as for me, vocabulary is more important. We also study informal words and phrases that are often used by native speakers. Always in touch, very patient and well-mannered, honest. Nice to meet!

Я конечно всем всем рекомендую Эллиотта! Он тот учитель которого Я искала! Радуюсь тому что молодежь такая сознательная и продвинутая! Я считаю, он может превзойти старших преподавателей! Эллиотт хорошо говорит по-русски! Это помогает мне быть спокойной. Уроки дружелюбные, веселые, мне нравится что для него, как и для меня, важнее словарный запас. Elliott seems really insightful when it comes to language and how people learn to speak. He’s picked up a lot from learning multiple languages himself, so he has a good instinct for the kinds of challenges learners face. If he knows your first language, he often has a way of understanding where things might be getting stuck. That could be part of why more advanced learners who feel like they’re not moving forward find his help especially useful.
