I definitely felt today like I could try to (badly and stumblingly) communicate . Definitely getting improvements and pleased. Hanging on in there. Tá sé go iontach!

I’ve had 9 lessons with Patchy thus far and combined with my own study and going to a Gaeltacht this weekend I have definitely felt massive improvements with my Irish. He’s really great at ironing things out in regard to pronunciation and I can’t recommend enough.

Today I had another wonderful lesson with Patchy, using drawing to reinforce words and concepts from our first lesson and also to focus on the construction "Tá mé/tú ag iarraidh. . ." = "I/You want. . .". It was challenging and a lot of fun. Patchy not only worked with vocabulary and grammar, and also with articulation and gentle correction of pronunciation. This is incredibly important, as the initial mutation of words changes their grammatical structure, and therefore meaning in a sentence. Perfect lesson, and I'm looking forward to more!

Patchy’s lesson was so much fun - playful but rich in vocabulary and pronunciation practice. He teaches in such a natural, intuitive way that you don’t realize how much you are learning until later. Powerful and very engaging.
