Normally, my lessons are $12/hour, but to celebrate being back on italki, I’m offering a special rate of $8/hour through the end of February.
Hi, I’m Pam, from Chiang Mai, Thailand, now living in Mexico. My lessons focus on real conversation, practical phrases, and cultural insights, creating a safe, encouraging space where beginners and introverts can practice Thai with confidence.
We’ll explore everyday Thai, useful phrases, and cultural tips you can use immediately. This special rate is my way of saying welcome back — let’s start learning Thai together before the price returns to normal!Minha atuação como professor
I have around 5 years of experience teaching Thai to students. At home, we speak four languages—mostly Thai and English—since my husband is American-Mexican. In Thailand, I taught Thai cooking, baking, and art classes to foreigners and homeschool children. Teaching is something I truly enjoy because it’s not just about helping others learn; it’s also a way for me to constantly review and deepen my own knowledge. In my lessons, we focus on real-life conversation, at your pace. You don’t need to be perfect. You don’t need to speak a lot. Making mistakes is welcome here—it’s how we learn faster.
I want you to feel like you’re talking with a friend, not being tested or judged.

Tutor/AssistantI worked part-time as a Thai tutor for exchange students at Chiangmai University. Along with teaching the language, I helped them adapt to life and study in Chiangmai, ensuring they had a great experience throughout the year. I was more than just a tutor—I became their buddy.

In only one lesson, I felt that Pam gave me the words I needed to use without me asking. She already knew where the holes were and where to fill them.
