« Bonjour, je m'appelle Christophe. Enchanté ! » I’m a certified French teacher and a passionate language learner. In addition to French, I also teach Occitan, a Romance language spoken in the southern part of France, and Esperanto, an international language designed to be easy and fun to learn. I enjoy intercultural exchanges, and helping learners discover the richness of French. I’m open-minded and curious about other cultures and perspectives — each lesson is a chance to learn from each other. I have nearly 20 years of experience teaching languages in a wide range of settings — from language schools and private institutes to online platforms. I’ve worked with adult learners of all levels, including professionals, university students, and language enthusiasts from many countries. I hold a teaching diploma from Alliance Française of Paris, and I’m currently completing a master’s degree in language teaching methodology at the University of Grenoble Alpes — one of France’s top-ranked universities. I'm also interested in cognitive science and enjoy using science-based strategies to support learning and memorization.

Excellent lessons, I make a lot of mistakes and at the end of each session Christophe leaves time to review each mistake and offer explanations. My goal is to make fewer mistakes, and learn more words and phrases. I’m slowly getting there.

My French conversation lessons with Christophe are both enjoyable and very useful. He makes sure we cover different topics so as to build my vocabulary in different areas, and he always chooses interesting materials that lead to a stimulating conversation. I love how he corrects my errors in a way that's effective but non-obtrusive, and then there's a record of them on Google Docs. Highly recommended!

Christophe est l’un des meilleurs enseignants que j'ai trouvé sur iTalki. J’ai un niveau environ A2 mais j’ai un vocabulaire passif et un niveau de compréhension qui sont beaucoup plus élevés, ce qui rend son travail plus difficile, je crois, et toutefois, Christophe est toujours très patient et répond aux questions que je peux avoir. Ses leçons sont toujours bien organisées et je vois qui il a un plan pour m’aider à avancer.
