Kristina

I have now had 11 Serbian lessons with Kristina and have just booked another 10. She's a great teacher and makes each and every lesson challenging yet enjoyable. She's very patient and friendly and I always look forward to our lessons. I have learnt a lot in a short space of time and I'm excited to keep learning long into the future!

I'm very happy to have found Kristina as a teacher. I work at a school where 100+ languages are spoken and there is language instruction in English from newcomers through university prep. I have also conducted research in language instruction programs. So, in learning Serbian I am a bit picky about finding an instructor with good language teaching techniques and materials. She's a good teacher! She has a good base plan for teaching and fills that in with more specific information to help your weaker areas. For me, she provides right balance of patience and correction--I think my Serbian will improve quickly.

It's been a month! The time is passing quickly and I've learned a lot. I appreciate the progress report that Kristina gave which summarizes what we'd covered, subjects and concepts that I'm doing well with, and most importantly what I can improve and useful ways of working on pronunciation and improving how quickly/fluidly I can speak. I'll be focusing a lot more on difficult sounds and listening to/mimicing the book's audio to help me put to use vocabulary and structures that we've covered more automatically.
