Ingrid Lin

I was really fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and I now am learning Taiwanese with Ingrid. She teaches you, talks more about the background of how things work, and also makes some funny mnemonics to help you remember things a lot better. She is an excellent teacher.

Teacher Ingrid was very kind and patient with me. She has lived in the UK for a while and her English ability is incredible so she understands the process and difficulties of pushing one's language ability to advanced and beyond. Ingrid was patient, encouraging and adaptable so that despite my long-lapsed Hokkien, we were able to sustain an interesting 'dialogue'. I'm looking forward to future encounters.

This was a productive taster session as, between us, we worked out a viable way forward for me to revive and improve upon the Hokkien/Taiwanese which I last used in earnest more than forty years ago. I am about to sign up for a series of lessons with Teacher Lin.
