Irene Acera Gómez

I have been taking lessons with Irene for over 5 years now, which included following her from other platforms here to italki. She is extensively trained in the Spanish language, and is capable of taking her students to an extremely advanced level of learning if needed. However, she is also well versed with teaching beginners to the language, of which she has had extensive experience. I would recommend her as a Spanish teacher to any English, and Italian, speaker who wishes to pick up Spanish as a second language. Specifically, she has been instructive in helping me learn medical-language-specific Spanish, but would be able to help train any student with specific jargon requirements.

Irene is very patient. She is genuinely interested in teaching. She will talk to you in your chosen language at your level and if you get stuck she will let you have the time you need to think. I never have a problem speaking in Spanish to Irene. I’m not nervous at all with her and she lets me rabbit on whilst prompting me with odd questions every now and then. She is also happy to talk about her own life for conversation practice. To begin with I looked through some peoples introductory video but Irene seemed the most natural and keen of the teachers I searched . I would highly recommend if you are looking for a Spanish teacher.

Irene has been a brilliant teacher, with her I have been able to relax and really speak at my best. She is always well prepared and provides interesting material from which to study which seeks to fulfil your learning needs. Her classes are always engaging and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone wanting to improve their Spanish.
