Bamboo Wu

Bamboo showed up ready with a custom Google Sheets translator (Chinese → pinyin → English) that made vocabulary stick instantly. Zero awkward silences—he knows how to guide conversation naturally. The value: He caught grammatical errors I'd never self-correct, taught me how to structure ice-breaker speeches in Chinese, then recorded an MP3 of new vocab after our lesson so I could drill native Taiwanese pronunciation on my own time. His teaching style: Patient, never interrupts, lets you finish thoughts. Occasionally talks over you if he gets interrupted (totally normal). Ran 5+ minutes over our 60-minute slot without prompting—clearly invested in student progress. I would recommend him to add more meeting formats. Bottom line: High information density per hour, legitimately good value. You'll leave with concrete improvements, not vague encouragement.

I really liked my first class with Teacher Wu. He has an interesting methodoloy. I liked the method he used to teach the differences among the Mandarin tones. It was a great class ! See you next time !

Bamboo is a patient and approachable teacher who provides enough structure to make Mandarin conversation manageable and attainable. From the two lessons i've had so far i would highly recommend him.
