such a fun lesson! really enjoying the variety of topics we've been discussing. as always, marlene is extremely kind and patient, and does an excellent job of explaining meanings and grammar.

Marlene is such a lovely person. We laugh a lot during the lesson and time flies. We continued with household activities, prepositions and articles. I learned a lot, but never had the impression to "be at school", but rather to sit with a friend in a café. Thank you for this focused but relaxed learning style.

Marlene is an excellent teacher. The structure of our class is open discussion in the beginning followed by review of homework and introduction of any new topics. I learn so much from listening and practicing speaking in the beginning. The homework allows me to spend time reviewing certain grammar concepts and practice them on my own. I highly recommend Marlene as a teacher if you are looking to learn Italian.

I feel so lucky that I picked Marlene for my first italki experience. She explains things well, and I always feel comfortable asking for clarification for anything I’m not clear on. And she continues to be patient with me getting used to the technology we use for remote lessons. Grazie, Marlene, for another great lesson. 😊

Fantastic first lesson with Marlene. A great mix of personal sharing in the beginning and then talking about goals and plans for future lessons in the end. I look forward to continuing!
