Hi there, my name is Mayumi. I am a native Japanese speaker from Yamaguchi, Japan. I love meeting new people and learning their culture/languages. I'm also interested in Tahitian dance which is traditional dance in Tahiti. I used to live in Canada and traveled around the world. When I was in Canada, I had experience supporting to teach Japanese at local Japanese language school.
- have an Elementary School English Teaching License (J-shine)
- completed the prescribed Program in Teaching English to Young Children at SGIC

I've been learning English since I was a kid so I understand how difficult learning other languages can be. I'm happy to help you with each step of the learning process. And I have over 10 years of experience working in the office, so I can help with business conversation, how to email and business etiquette. Mayumi was a very good conversationalist. I appreciated that she gave me time to think when I was struggling to put a sentence together and then she would rephrase what I wanted to say to make it sound more natural. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to practice their Japanese in a low stress and encouraging environment.
