Joel was awesome! super patient and kind. recognized where I was at and didn't drown me in vocabulary from the get go. Joel era genial! Era patiente, amable, y se dio cuenta dondé yo era en mi aprendizaje, y me dio buenos consejos sobre de apprender nuevos idiomas en general.

I had my first lesson with Joel for Lingala. He is very personable, so we had a very relaxed lesson, yet still effective, and I learned things I hadn't read about in the meager learning resources available that exist for Lingala in English. Of course as a native Lingala speaker, Joel helped me with my intonation and stress when pronouncing words, correcting me to help me achieve a more native sound (albeit I'm far from it now). I plan to continue my Lingala studies with Joel, who I believe can help me achieve my goals in the language.
