Hello everyone! :-)
My name is Freja and I am born and raised in Denmark. I originally come from the countryside on Sjælland but have been living abroad the last couple of years. I just returned to Denmark a couple of months ago after having lived in South Korea for 3 years, so I'm still getting settled. I love languages and cultures, so I have been moving back and forth a lot since I was 18 years old. Can't help it haha :-).
Right now I speak Danish, English and Korean and I have some knowledge of German and Japanese. In the future, I'd love to focus more on Thai and also learn sign language.

I like to prepare my classes with my student in mind which is why we'll discuss topics you're interested in but also use methods you find useful. Every student learns differently, so in order to help you improve the most, we have to find the one that suits you the best.
As a teacher, I am very relaxed and casual. Our conversations will obviously depend on what your goal is, but I hope to create a motivating and supporting environment for all my students. I have personally taken conversation classes at italki and found it the most useful and that I learned the most when I was comfortable with my teacher. I have been teaching Danish, Korean and English in Denmark and in Korea. I have also studied linguistics and specifically Danish as a second language during my bachelors. However, the biggest influence on my teaching style would be my personal experience with second language learning. Having gone through my own fair share of languages, I know how exciting, yet challenging it can be to improve sometimes. My hope is that I can help you through that with my classes.
If you are already very comfortable with Danish, we will only speak in Danish. However, if you are a beginner, fear not. We can definitely mix English and Danish at first.

Really enjoyed my class with Freja. She has customized the classes to my needs. I need help in learning to pronounce Danish words and she had help to include more materials on this part. Really like how much effort and care she put into preparing each classes
