Hey, how's it going? My name's Catarina, I'm Brazilian and I live in Mogi Mirim, a small town in the São Paulo State, in the Southeast of Brazil. I'm 27 and I've been working as a professional Portuguese and English Teacher for 7 years.
Besides being passionate about learning and teaching foreign languages, I also like to study history, arts, philosophy, theology and music. I can't really play anything, but that's in my future plans. I love literature as well and I dream of writing a book someday.
In my free time, I enjoy being with my family, exploring random but interesting videos on YouTube and traveling to wherever fits in my budget.
I have a teaching degree from University of Campinas (UNICAMP), where I studied Portuguese. I also have a degree in English teaching and the CELTA Certificate by University of Cambridge. I've been learning English since I was 11, and teaching it since I was 16. I spent 5 months in Germany in 2017 and this experience abroad made me develop great intercultural skills - I love meeting students from all over the world and not just teaching them, but learning so much from them at the same time.
Throughout my career, I have taught kids, teenagers and adults, in English schools and at the university. Since 2020, I've been working exclusively with private online classes to adults (16+).

Catarina é uma professora incrível ! I've been having classes with her for more than 6 months now and i cannot believe how far i've come in Portuguese. She really knows how to make the student feel comfortable and confident and even when starting i was not afraid of talking or practicing the language, while going at my own rhythm. Catarina is not just a great teacher, but she is also fun to talk to. She prepares well for her lessons, has a plan and study materials ready, but she is also flexible and ready to discuss any topic that might come up.
Languages is my passion, I've had about 40 teachers in the past 30 years and she is one of the best I've ever had! Obrigado :)
