Hello, I am Jan. I am an engineer and working in Germany. I speak at work and at home almost only German. Sometimes I speak with colleagues and friends in China Mandarin or English. In my free time, I like learning foreign languages for my work and for vacation as well. Jogging, walking and football belongs to my hobbies too. I am a patient and helpful person. I know how difficult it is to learn foreign languages and specially at the beginning. I would like to help people who are learning Mandarin or German and give them my tips to enhance their skills in Mandarin and German efficiently. When I was a student, I already started teaching Mandarin in different ways. During this time I realize, it makes me happy to get to know people from different countries, and with my help and tips they can improve their skills in Mandarin and German. As I'm also a passionate foreign language learner. I can easily comprehend your obstacles by learning in Mandarin and German. As a person who grew up, lives and works in Chinese and German cultures I have intercultural understanding. I can put the lessons together for you based on your level and interest. We can expand your vocabulary through casual conversations on various topics that interest you, or we can improve your pronunciation by reading articles or learn grammar through textbooks. Language is the tool to communicate. We also learn our mother tongue by listening and repeating. This is why I find learning by doing is the best way to learn language. In German, it means Probieren geht über Studieren. In Chinese means 学以致用. Behind language is culture. I studied Chinese with Jan for over a year and he is a very good teacher. He has many resources, including dialogs, that allows the student to practice speaking. You will really enjoy your lessons with him.
