Welcome! I am Ece and I am originally from Istanbul. I recently graduated from Boğaziçi University and did molecular biology and genetics. But currently, I am living in Vienna and doing my Master's degree at Vienna University. I have been learning English for about 14 years and I use it on daily basis. I can also speak German and teach Turkish and English using German. I enjoy learning new languages and traveling. I particularly enjoy playing ultimate frisbee and SCUBA diving. I have a special interest in sustainable practices and hope to work in that area. I've been teaching languages here on Italki for the past 4 years. I have had over 100 students, each with different goals and needs. I am experienced in creating personalized learning materials for my students and making sure it is a lasting habit for them to study their target language. Language learning should be fun. So rather than learning unnecessary amounts of grammar, I encourage everyone to immerse themselves with the language via songs, videos, news and books. I believe language learning is simply the best way to broaden your sight of the world. At first lessons, I will get to know the level and the interest of my students. I will recommend some free source they can use to learn English or Turkish. Ece ist eine super freundliche Lehrerin und der Unterricht mit ihr macht mir sehr viel Spaß! Ich hatte heute bereits meine 8. Unterrichtsstunde und freue mich auf viele weitere! Sie erklärt alles sehr verständlich und nimmt sich immer Zeit Fragen zu beantworten. Besonders super finde ich es, dass sie mich fordert, indem ich regelmäßig Hausaufgaben bekomme und selbstständig Texte schreibe. Ece is a great teacher. She is always prepared. She’s very engaging and is great at explaining the language! I would highly recommend her. I will definitely book more classes when my schedule opens up. You will not be disappointed. Also, she speaks great English.
