Lorena is an excellent teacher and one of the best tutors I have worked with. I currently study Korean with her, and I have also studied Spanish with her in the past. After working with several language tutors over the years, she has easily been my best tutor for both languages. One of Lorena's greatest strengths is her ability to recognize exactly where you are as a learner and meet you at that level. She has a real gift for identifying what you already understand, where you are struggling, and what you need to work on. Her explanations are always tailored to my current level, so even when something is difficult, she finds a way to explain it that makes sense to me. Her teaching style is sophisticated and nuanced rather than one-size-fits-all. She pays attention to my comprehension, listening, speaking, grammar, &vocabulary and adjusts lessons based on what I actually need. She is also very knowledgeable, patient, easy to talk to, and funny, which makes lessons both productive&fun
