I am a native and full-time professional Portuguese teacher, from Portugal, experienced preparing students to successfully pass CAPLE exams, mainly A2. I've teach at universities in Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Shanghai. I have been serving as an external teacher for the Portuguese Institute for Asia based in Macau, overseeing Portuguese exams, since 2016.

The great majority of students prepare for Portuguese-CIPLE-exam (A2). In my class they are formatted to pass the exam, following the guidelines set by the Portuguese examination center. Additionally, I've had a growing number of students preparing for DAPLE exams (C1). Recently, there has been a notable increase in students relocating to Portugal, reflecting its rising popularity as a destination. This trend requires a different approach for teaching. If you are an exam taker expect classes formatted to the exam. My classes are well structured, featuring tested materials. You will be following a learning plan covering the point you will have to know for the exam (topics and grammar) within a specific timeframe, often aligned with examination dates. I've studied many languages with many teachers, and Susana is the best language teacher I've had! She tailored her lessons to exactly what I needed to improve my Portuguese for the CAPLE A2 exam. She is deeply familiar with the exam, and gives excellent tips for how to navigate the different parts of the exam. She prepares in advance for every lesson to ensure that our time together has the most impact. Beyond that, she is super friendly and fun to talk to. I always looked forward to our lessons. What makes the sessions with Susana so enjoyable is that she's able to quickly modify the lesson depending on my abilities and interests. It's rare instructor, iTalki or otherwise, who can do that.
