Привет, future Russian rockstar! ✨ I’m Anna — a certified Russian teacher with a Master’s in Linguistics and 7+ years of teaching foreigners (kids to adults!). My superpower? Making tricky grammar feel easy with memes, jokes, and deep dives into real Russian culture. When I’m not teaching, I’m hunting for rare CDs and vinyl. Bonus: If you love literature, we’ll geek out over Dostoevsky, Tolstoy and modern Russian writers. Let’s turn "очень сложно" into "я понял!"— with laughter. 😉 I work with adults, teenagers and children. I am friendly and patient, don't require to do homework (although I advise it for better progress). I always keep in touch with students, chat with them and share interesting and funny facts about Russia. My education/training: • Bachelor's d.: Petrozavodsk State University “Applied philology” • Master's d.: Nizhny Novgorod Dobrolyubov State Linguistic University “Technologies for teaching Russian as a foreign language” • Professional retraining: Moscow State University “Methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language for children” I have experience of working in school and university with foreign students of the preparatory faculty. Anna is an AMAZING teacher! We used everything we had learned so far and had a conversation in Russian. The time flew by. She is a very personable and patient instructor; I would absolutely recommend her for any beginning learners. I am also sure more advanced learners would benefit greatly from her teaching style as well.

I’ve had a few lessons with Anna, both conversation and book club lessons, and have really enjoyed enjoyed them! She is incredibly intelligent and well-spoken and able to facilitate interesting and thought-provoking discussions while also taking time to offer helpful feedback—explaining herself in a way that is helpful and comprehensible for learners. Her passion for the Russian language and literature as well as for life and various topics in general is truly inspiring. Thanks Anna! I always look forward to our discussions!

Anna is an amazing teacher. I study multiple languages and have tried a lot of private teachers. Anna is by far the most encouraging, patient, and friendly instructor I have ever had. She is always punctual, well prepared, and organized. She also has helped me outside of class time by giving me recommendations for news and shows in Russian. If you want to improve your Russian, I doubt there is a teacher better for you than Anna.
