I’m Polina, salute from the endlessly beautiful (and often rainy) city of Saint Petersburg, Russia! I moved there from Far East to study at the university, and now majoring in applied photonics, basically, optics and quantum physics. But don’t worry — I’m not a robot (yet). I also work as a teaching assistant and do research in a physics lab. That’s why I love teaching here on iTalki — it’s a chance to leave the lab coat behind and just have a fun and meaningful conversation with someone who wants to learn. My dream is to visit all the most beautiful places on Earth. I can teach you how to extract meaning from chaos, master the moods of verbs, and even put a spell on syntax itself... I can explain things that mere mortals can’t — not only because I absorbed Russian with my mother’s milk (she’s a Russian language teacher at a real school), but also because I’ve always paid attention. I like practical language, so we need to find the reason, why you need to learn Russian. It must be necessary, or you may not be motivated enough. Be prepared to take time for it every single day, because regularity is key to success! I see myself as an air-dry clay — flexible and easy to shape. I always adapt to what you need and I adhere to this pattern until you wet me (or just say).
On lessons we will:
- break your the language barrier;
- discuss anything you want;
- improve the quality of your speech;
- read interesting texts: no boring books, just things which you like and need to know! Classic literature, poems, fairy tails, idioms or just useful phrases, funny news, star’s Instagram posts, even jokes and memes;
- improve vocabulary;
- prepare for exams;
- correct your mistakes affectionately and kindly!
