I am a certified, experienced, resourceful and goal-driven professional educator with a solid commitment to helping students from around the world learn Spanish in a way that is effective and mindful of the student's background. I hold a degree in Translation and Linguistics from the University of Salamanca in Spain, and I have worked extensively with students of all ages (including very young learners as well as senior learners) in countries such as Russia, Lithuania, Spain, and Sweden. I have a demonstrated ability to consistently individualize instruction, based on student's needs and interests and I thoroughly enjoy my job - this is definitely not a side gig for me!Minha atuação como professor
Thanks to my background as a linguist and my skills as a polyglot, I can offer knowledgeable explanations as to the *why* of vocabulary and grammar rules, not just the *what*. I favour a communicative approach that's founded on a thorough understanding of how language works, as well as taking into account how people learn and the student's individual goals. I currently teach adults only. I will expect you to connect using a laptop or a PC (not your phone!) as my lessons tend to be pretty interactive and you might have to type some text or keep several tabs open. Keeping a notebook and a pen next you you might also be helpful. I will speak in Spanish from lesson one (this is especially true with beginners' lessons) but I use plenty of visual aids so I can guarantee you will understand. I like following a textbook that I will send you, but I'm always ready to use all sorts of materials in order to adapt my lessons to your needs.Meu material de ensino
