It is also Year 1 of medical school in some countries. The course follows the Cambridge syllabus and the final exam is marked by CIE.

I was top of the class and form in English for the majority of my time during my upper secondary years. I was also part of the school debate team.

All academic classes were conducted in English.
We had some modules in Malay too.
I also took German classes for a year, passing the A2+ level exam.

Home TutorI taught schoolchildren, aged 6-18, English, Malay and Mandarin Chinese using the Malaysian and International syllabus (IGCSE) Mandarin Chinese, Malay and English. The students included both native and second language students. I helped them grasp language concepts, learn vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening and speaking, so that they could both pass their exams with flying colours (good grades) and be able to converse freely in the target language.

I highly recommend booking a class with Teacher Kai! I think it’s important to genuinely enjoy what you learn in order to progress and to also have a safe space to experiment and try out new vocabulary or grammar structures. Teacher Kai gives me this opportunity through what she has aptly named our “restful learning” sessions.

I had another great class with Teacher Kai! I like the variety we cover in our weekly one hour class (writing, pronunciation/speaking, culture) and the feedback I get. Teacher Kai is very supportive, encouraging, and always checks the homework is appropriate in terms of workload for my week and how challenging it is. I can see the progress I've made thanks to those classes. I'd definitely recommend booking a lesson with Teacher Kai!
