Today we spoke about an art exhibition that I visited. The artist make art with wall paper, which is an interesting concept. The art generally only stays up for a few months because of the elements breaking it down, like rain and wind. We then spoke about art on walls in Japan. In the cities you sometimes see it at construction projects, but Lisa sensei had a great story of manga artist transforming a small island into a big art project! Maybe I will visit it some day! :-)

Today we spoke about the kingsday celebrations on Saturday and my long walk on Sunday. I had a lot to teel this week haha :-D Lisa then showed me pictures she took in a flower garden yesterday. They looked very pretty!

Today we first spoke about what I did last weekend. I spend a day in the Hague with my Japanese friend. Lisa then told me she read an article about the Netherlands and we started to read it together. It was interesting to read about a Japanese persons perspective about the dutch culture. There were some difficult kanji, but luckily Lisa could explain the meaning of things when I didn't understand. Let's do this again next time! :-D

Today we used google meets because Skype is no longer working. I enjoyed the experience, even though we had to figure out how to share pictures haha. We spoke about Dutch liberation dat and the festivals that accompany it. I went to a small gig with some local Punk and Metal bands and shared some video's. I also explained how we have 12 provinces and that they all have their own festival. We also spoke about some shrines I visited in Japan. I like to visit the off the beaten path shrines that don't have a lot of tourists. They are often very beautiful and relaxing because they are very quite. I'm already looking forward to next weeks lesson! :-)

Today Lisa sensei showed pictures of her trip to Hikone. The lit up cherry blossoms looked very beautiful against the backdrop of the castle. And the swan swimming behind the boat looked very cute. We also read the article again which we started to read last week. There were some difficult kanji in there but with the help of Lisa sensei I was able to understand the meaning of the tekst. Let's do this some more next week! :-)

Today we spoke about some difficult topics, but it was very informative and I'm glad I can have these kinds of conversations with Lisa sensei. I feel like we can talk about any topic and have a supportive conversation that leaves us both very happy every time. Let's continue our conversations for a long time Lisa sensei! :-) I'm already looking forward to our next conversation!!
