Hello! I am a certified teacher who has taught Japanese in the United States. I majored in English literature during my undergraduate studies and pursued Japanese language education at the graduate level. I love traveling, listening to music, and engaging in some exercises.

Using textbooks such as Genki, Minna no Nihongo, Quartet, and Dekiru Nihongo, we can efficiently grasp new grammar concepts. The exercises in these books are highly beneficial, and we can chnage the practices to apply for your lifestyle if needed. Ken Sensei is a very attentive teacher and we had a smooth conversation throughout whole lesson. It was the first lesson so we had lots of discuss and naturally I made a lot of mistakes, but Ken Sensei was there for me and provided hints and assistance along the way. I enjoyed the lesson through and through!

けんー先生 is an outstanding teacher. Having tried studying with other instructors, I can confidently say that he truly stands out. He is calm, approachable, and extremely knowledgeable, always showing great patience. While his English is excellent, he prioritizes explaining concepts in Japanese first, and gently encourages you to express yourself in Japanese - even when you feel unsure. Our conversations sometimes touch on more personal topics as well, which makes the learning experience feel natural, engaging, and authentic. Always looking forward to my next lesson. ありがとうございます！
