Martina Gressani

I’ve been studying with Martina for more than two years, and she has transformed the way I learn Italian. When I first started, I struggled to find words and lacked the confidence to really speak. With Martina’s patience and expert guidance, I’ve made consistent progress—not just in grammar and vocabulary, but in my ability to express myself naturally. What sets Martina apart is her teaching style: she listens carefully, encourages you to speak freely, and then corrects and explains in a way that feels supportive, never discouraging. Every lesson is a mix of challenge and motivation, and I always leave feeling more confident and excited to keep going. I still have a long way to go, but the improvement I’ve seen already is undeniable. If you’re serious about learning Italian and want a teacher who is both professional and genuinely invested in your growth, I couldn’t recommend Martina more highly. She is exceptional.

Always enjoyed my lessons with Martina! Time flies by so quickly and there’s always many opportunities to speak and express myself. Appreciate the patience from Martina while I struggle to form sentences and she makes me feel comfortable to make mistakes and learn from them. I’ve made a lot of progress since I first started from scratch in Italian. It’s exciting to now be able to read and discuss news written in simple Italian. Other than speaking, I also get to practise listening and writing skills. I feel like I can catch spoken Italian much more than ever. Looking forward to the next lesson!

The book used for this beginner programme is all in Italian, but with my understandng of French, I can follow a lot of the text without needing everything translated. Martina is also very fluent in English and can explain points well. The pace also works well for me. Molto grazie e a presto.
